Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer announced in a tweet on Wednesday that Microsoft has made a 10-year commitment to bringing the popular gaming title Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms.
Spencer also confirmed in his tweet that Microsoft will continue offering Call of Duty on @Steam alongside Xbox after the merger with Activision Blizzard King is completed.
I’m also pleased to confirm that Microsoft has committed to continue to offer Call of Duty on @Steam simultaneously to Xbox after we have closed the merger with Activision Blizzard King. @ATVI_AB @ValveSoftware

In addition, a recent opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal from a Microsoft executive revealed that the company has extended a 10-year contract to Sony, offering simultaneous releases of all new Call of Duty games on PlayStation and Xbox.
This comes after Sony’s gaming chief, Jim Ryan, expressed dissatisfaction with Microsoft’s previous offer to keep the game series on PlayStation for only three years after the current agreement expires.
Microsoft’s new offer to Sony is particularly significant as the company faces increased scrutiny over its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Regulatory challenges have arisen in the European Union, Britain, and the United States, with Sony voicing concerns and calling for regulatory intervention.
Last month, Reuters reported that Microsoft’s proposed solution primarily involves a 10-year licensing deal with Sony, aimed at addressing potential anti-competitive risks.
“The main supposed potential anticompetitive risk Sony raises is that Microsoft would stop making Call of Duty available on the PlayStation. But that would be economically irrational,” stated Microsoft President Brad Smith in the Wall Street Journal opinion piece.
Furthermore, Microsoft announced on Monday that it will raise the prices of new Xbox games from $60 to $70 starting in 2023.
