Today Xiaomi has held its Mi Fan Festival 2020 event via online streaming where the company launched its latest gadgets from its inventory. At this event, Redmi launched its first fitness tracking band – Redmi Band which comes in different color variants and supports tons of fitness-tracking activities. 

In addition to that, the company also launched its another wearable – the Mi Bunny Watch 4 which is a full-fledged smartwatch that comes loaded with top-of-the-line specifications. At last, the company added a new member in its truly-wireless earphones portfolio – the Mi Air 2S Truly Wireless Earphones which comes with the latest connectivity technology with impressive specs and battery backup. Let’s take a look at each of these gadgets one-by-one to get a clearer look at them.

Redmi Band Color Options

As mentioned earlier, this new Redmi Band is the first fitness-tracking band under Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi. It comes with a rectangular 1.08-inch color display which comes with over 70 personalized dial faces from the company. It comes in four different color options to buy from. 

The Redmi Band comes preloaded with five different sports modes to perform different sorts of activities. Like most of the fitness-tracking bands, the Redmi band also has an optical heart rate sensor to enable real-time monitoring of heart rate. Additionally, it also has a sleep monitoring feature that enables users to view their sleeping patterns.

Besides, this Redmi Band is compatible with almost every device running on Android in addition to devices from its parent company, Xiaomi. The Redmi band is fuelled by a massive battery that lets it remain awake for up to 14 days once on a full charge. It comes with an integrated USB connector that can be used to charge this device just by plugging into a USB charger. 

As for the price, the Redmi Band is set to be available at CNY 99 (approx Rs. 1,100), though it will be available under a crowdfunding campaign at CNY 95 (approx Rs. 1,000). The campaign will begin in China starting April 9. As for now, there is no word from the company on its global availability.

As its name suggests, this watch is mainly made for kids to use. The all-new Mi Bunny Watch 4 comes with a 1.78-inch AMOLED display with a pixel density of 326ppi. The display is further protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect it from minor scratches and resistance.

This watch comes with a variety of connectivity options that includes WiFi, NFC, and 4G connectivity. It also has a speaker and microphone just like most of the smartwatches have. This watch is water-resistant up to 20 meters. It comes with two cameras each of 5-megapixel, out of which, one is placed at the front for video calling and the other is fixed at the upper side. 

The second camera on Mi Bunny Watch 4 is typically made for the kid’s safety. It is bundled with AI recognition which helps the parents to see what’s around the kid to recognize the area in case of any emergencies. The watch uses AI to accurately point the location of the child and has a database of more than 4000 shopping malls, rail stations, and airports across the country.

This watch also comes with a built-in voice assistant that can help children in setting alarms, play music, and help in learning English as well. As mentioned by the company, it supports AI evaluation for the English language and comes with four modules to help the children speak fluent English. 

As for the pricing, the Xiaomi Mi Bunny Watch 4 will be available at CNY 899 (approx Rs. 9,600). It is already gone for its pre-sale which will last for 5 days within which customers can deposit CNY 50 (approx Rs. 530) between April 3 and April 8 and complete the payment between April 9 and April 12. The company will kick off shipping this smartwatch starting April 9.

As for the availability, it will be available in two color options – Blue and Pink. The Mi Bunny Watch is already listed on JD.com and the official Mi.com website. So, you can pre-register this watch now.

Last but not the least, Xiaomi has launched this Mi Air 2S Truly Wireless Earphone (TWS) at this event. This Mi Air 2S comes with an upgraded dual-core chipset that uses the latest binaural synchronous transmission technology to transmit sound signals to the left and right earphones at the same time. This reduces sound delay and improves stability in connection. 

Additionally, Xiaomi has also optimized LHDC Bluetooth decoding for the MIUI system. It comes integrated with XiaoAI which is the company’s AI voice assistant. This voice assistant enabled this earphone to listen to a variety of voice commands, search the Web, play music, and even use maps for directions. 

It comes with a dual-microphone architecture that enables it to use environmental noise cancellation for better call quality and sound experience. Like most of the truly-wireless earphones, it has a range of touch and tap controls for playing music and taking calls.

Furthermore, the Mi Air 2S truly wireless earphones come with a quick connect feature that will automatically pair the earbuds with the phone, once they are brought out of its charging case. It uses a built-in optical infrared sensor to recognize when the earbuds are out of the ear.

In the connectivity option, it comes integrated with the latest Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity. The Mi Air 2S TWS is claimed to offer a whopping 5 hours of battery life that can be increased to 24 hours with the charging case. The charging case which comes in the package supports Qi-standard wireless charging.

As for the price, the Mi Air 2S TWS is priced at CNY 399 (approx Rs. 4,200) and will be available in a single White color option. Like every gadget in our list, it will go on sale China starting April 9 via Mi.com. As of now, pre-orders of this TWS has already been started on the official website.
