Mi A3 with Triple-rear Cameras, Snapdragon 665 SoC Launched: Price, Specifications


Xiaomi has launched its new smartphone from the Mi A series, the Mi A3 in Spain. This is the company’s latest smartphone which is based on Stock Android One OS with vanilla Android experience. This is the successor of the Mi A2 that was launched last year. Key highlights of the Mi A3 includes a triple-rear camera with 48-megapixel as the primary sensor, octa-core Snapdragon 655 SoC with 6GB of RAM, an in-display fingerprint sensor. Let’s take a brief look at the latest smartphone from Mi-series.

Xiaomi Mi A3 Specifications

The brand-new Mi A3 sports a 6.08-inch HD+ (720×1560 pixels) AMOLED display with a waterdrop-style notch and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. For display protection, Xiaomi has mounted the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the top. 

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC that is further paired with up to 6GB of RAM. Further, the Mi A3 comes with 64GB and 128GB storage option that can be further expanded up to 512GB via a MicroSD card.

In the camera department, the Mi A3 features a triple rear camera module that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with a 118-degree wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor for depth sensing. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera mounted inside the waterdrop notch.

Apart from this, the Mi A3 runs on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Besides, the phone is fuelled by a 4,030mAh battery.

Xiaomi Mi A3 Price and Availability

The Mi A3 price in Spain has been set at EUR 249 (approx Rs. 19,200) for the 64GB storage variant, while its 128GB storage option is priced at EUR 279 (approx Rs. 21,500).

As for its availability, the phone will kick off on its first sale on July 24. The phone will be available in “Not Just Blue”, “More Than White”, and “Kind of Gray” color options. As of now, there is no word on the phone’s pricing or availability outside Europe.
