Meet LG’s First IPS Gaming Displays


LG has officially launched the world’s first gaming IPS Monitors for professional gamers. If are searching for an advanced monitor to play your favourite games, then LG’s latest displays are here for you.

The new Monitors are launched within LG’s UltraGear family and the first Displays to offer faster IPS Display. These are the first 1ms Nano-IPS Nvidia G-Sync monitors in the world.

The brand has launched two different sizes of the monitors with 27-inch 27GL850 which comes with a 144Hz maximum refresh rate, and the other one is of 37.5-inch 38GL950G with the 175Hz maximum refresh rate.

LG has designed these new generation powerful IPS displays for the gamers to make their dreams come true. Interestingly, the design of these monitors is similar with minimal bezels. These are the curved displays which offer a better view of angle. Both the monitors offer 98% DCI-P3 wide color gamut.

If we talk about the configurations, the 27-Inch display carries a model number of 27GL850. This display is compatible with NVIDIA’s G-SYNC. It comes with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 with a maximum brightness of 350 nits. It is also compatible with HDR10 Content. There is a separate display port and HDMI port available on the display.

On the other hand, the 38-Inch display carries a model number of 38GL950G. It comes with a higher screen resolution i.e. 3840 x 1600 pixels which is called WQHD. It works with NVIDIA’s G-SYNC and it is compatible with the VESA DisplayHDR 400. It also features an HDMI port and a separate display port.

What’s new in the premium end display is it features stunning RGB lighting at the back which is called Sphere Lighting 2.0. Aside from this, LG has also enhanced the list of features on the displays.

LG to impose Dynamic Action Sync mode, crosshair, Black Stabilizer. All these features are compatible with FPS games.

LG Displays Availability

The 27-Inch display will be the first one to be made available on the market. This display will go on sale from 1st July in the US. The same display will be available in the Europen Markets in the Q3.

Unfortunately, we do not have any information about the availability of the 38-Inch displays yet.
