Maybe don’t try this Diablo 4 exploit to get your existing characters into the Seasonal Realm

A resourceful Diablo 4 player has discovered a clever method to bring their Eternal Character – the one they have been nurturing since the game’s release – into the Seasonal Realm that commenced with the launch of Season of the Malignant.

Prior to the start of Diablo 4’s first season, it was revealed that players would need to create a new character to engage in seasonal content. This meant abandoning their existing characters that they had invested time in. However, there is a way to transfer powerful existing characters (in what Blizzard refers to as the Eternal Realm) to the Seasonal Realm, although it involves exploiting a glitch. It’s important to note that engaging in such exploits goes against Blizzard’s policy and may lead to a ban.

If you’re curious about the process, YouTuber Glitch Unlimited has created a guide explaining how it can be done. It is not a straightforward method and requires unplugging your internet cable to deceive Diablo 4’s servers. This reminds me of a similar exploit in Destiny’s Crota’s End raid.

There are several compelling reasons why players are attempting this method. Firstly, Eternal characters can sell items for Gold in the Seasonal Realm, especially with the Urn of Bargaining Seasonal Blessing active. This allows Seasonal characters to have sufficient funds for Enchanting in the endgame, enhancing their gameplay experience. Additionally, having a pre-made character accelerates progress in the seasonal grind.

The benefits also include the ability to leave powerful, non-seasonal items for use by your Seasonal characters. However, this can only be accomplished using the fourth Stash tab. Furthermore, your existing characters can equip any item with a Seasonal Aspect, excluding the Malignant Hearts.

In case you missed it, Blizzard recently shared details about all the changes coming to Diablo 4 with patch 1.1.1, scheduled for release on Tuesday, August 8.
