NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker LG finally launched its first rotatable screen smartphone — LG Wing in India. The unique dual-screen smartphone of the company is part of the company’s Explorer Project program. This new smartphone from LG enables users to use the device in Swivel mode in which the front of the device rotates clockwise 90 degrees. This enables users to interact with the second screen while having uninterrupted content on the main screen.
LG claims that the hinge module of the smartphone comes with Hydraulic Damper which reduces the stress on the mechanism when the main screen is rotated. The company also mentioned that it has applied a thermoplastic polyoxymethylene on the back of the main screen which helps in smooth swivelling and to prevent scratches on the second screen. LG also claims that it has tested the hinge mechanism for 200,000 swivels.
Price and availability
The company has priced the LG Wing at Rs 69,990 and comes in Aurora Gray and Illusion Sky colour options. The smartphone will go on sale in the country starting November 9.
