LG V35 ThinQ with Snapdragon 845, Dual Rear Cameras Launched


LG has silently launched its latest flagship smartphone – the LG V35 ThinQ along with LG V35+ ThinQ for the global market. The only difference in the two variants is the inbuilt storage – 64GB and 128GB, respectively. The smartphone comes with the price tag of $900 (Rs. 60,720 approx.) and will be available in the US starting in June via AT&T followed by Asia, Middle East, and Africa. It comes in Aurora Black, Platinum Grey colour options.

LG V35 ThinQ specifications

Talking about specifications, the LG V35 ThinQ runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with LG UX skin on top. It sports a 6.” QHD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) 18:9 FullVision OLED Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 538 PP, and HDR10 playback support. The display can be viewed easily even under direct sunlight, thanks to its super bright display. The smartphone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. LG V35 ThinQ offers 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM along with 64GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, while the LG V35+ ThinQ offers 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage; the internal storage can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

For photography, the LG V35 ThinQ comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of two 16MP sensors; the primary camera comes with f/1.6 aperture and 71-degree wide-angle lens along with OIS, phase detection, and laser autofocus, while secondary camera comes with f/1.9 aperture, 107-degree super-wide-angle lens and LED flash support. The camera is powered by LG’s AI camera tech, as well as a smart pixel-binning technology for low-light shots, the AI algorithm adjusts the camera settings automatically when shooting in low light. On the front, it has an 8MP shooter with f/1.9 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens. The front camera also comes with facial recognition technology to unlock the device. It also has Stickers that uses face recognition to generate fun 2D and 3D overlays.

It also features Google Lens in the camera app as well as from within Google Assistant and Google Photos. With Google Lens, users can get more information on objects such as landmarks, plants, animals and books by just pointing with the camera. Users can also visit websites, add a business card to contacts and add events to the calendar directly with the camera.

In terms of audio, the LG V35 ThinQ has Hi-Fi Quad DAC for incredibly rich sound and DTS:X that implements virtual 3D sound for all content and supports up to 7.1 channel audio with earphones. The smartphone also supports Super Far-Field Voice Recognition lets you hear your voice up to 5 meters away. It is an IP68 rated device for dust and water resistance and also meets MIL-STD 810G requirements.

The LG V35 ThinQ is fueled by a 3300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging and Wireless charging support. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C post. It measures 151.7 x 75.4 x 7.3mm and weighs 157 grams.
