LG V30+ With FullVision Display and Dual Rear Cameras Launched in India at Rs 44,990


LG has today finally launched its high-end V30+ flagship phone in India. The LG V30+ comes with the price tag of Rs. 44,990 and will be available to purchase exclusively via Amazon from December 18 in Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Viole color options. Pre-bookings will open from Thursday itself. With the launch offers, LG is offering a free one-time screen replacement worth Rs. 12,000, a free wireless charger worth roughly Rs. 3,000

LG V30+ is the first smartphone from LG that comes equipped with an OLED display panel and it is the second flagship device from the brand to bear the new 18:9 bezel-less display. Other highlights of the device are its large FullVision display and dual rear cameras and 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC as well. The V30+ is also dust and water resistant, with IP68 certification and shock resistant with MIL-STD 810G rating. The smartphone also comes equipped with a face unlocking feature as well as a Floating Bar and Always-On Display (AOD). The LG V30+ display also has HDR10 support and is also compatible with Google’s Daydream virtual reality platform.

Talking about specifications, the LG V30+ runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system with the LG UX 6.0 skin on top. It sports a 6” QHD+ (1440×2880 pixels) FullVision OLED 638ppi display with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The smartphone is powered by up to 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. It offers 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

For photography, the LG V30+ comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup including one 16MP 1/3.09-inch sensor, f/1.6 aperture and a 71-degree field of view, and second 13MP 1/3.4-inch sensor with a 120-degree field of view. The rear camera setup is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top and offers features like laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, and crystal clear glass lens instead of plastic. LG is touting the V30+’ rear camera system as the world’s first camera system to ship with an aperture of f/1.6 which should technically entail in outstanding low light photography.  On the front, it has a 5MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture and a 90-degree wide-angle lens.

The LG V3+ is fueled by a 3300mAh battery with the support for both fast and wireless charging. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, USB Type-C (v3.1), GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back. It measures 151.7×75.4×7.3mm and weighs 158 grams.
