LG Q7 Launched in India with Military-Grade Durability: Price, Specifications and More


LG has launched its latest mid-range smartphone dubbed as LG Q7, in India. The smartphone offers premium futures like military-grade metallic body that is touted to have passed 14 of the MIL-STD 810G tests, this is also IP68-certified for water and dust resistance. It also has Portrait mode, QLens, Hi-Fi quality audio, DTS:X 3D Surround Sound, and the top-end Q7+ also comes with Hi-Fi Quad DAC. There is also a Smart Rear Key fingerprint sensor that doubles as a camera shutter button, capture screenshots, and control the notification bar. The LG Q7 also comes with QLens that lets users use the camera to improve the image searching and online shopping experience.

LG Q7 Price and Availability

The smartphone comes with the price tag of Rs. 15,990 and will be available to purchase starting September 1 across all leading retail stores in the country. It will be made available in Aurora Black and Moroccan Blue colour options.

LG Q7 Specifications

Talking about specifications, the LG Q7 run Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and sports a 5.5” full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) FullVision 18:9 display with 442ppi pixel density. The smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz MediaTek MT6750S octa-core processor coupled with Mali T860 GPU. It offers 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

For photography, the LG Q7 comes with a 13MP rear camera sensor with a PDAF lens. On the front, it has an 8MP shooter with a super wide angle lens for talking group selfies. Like its flagship LG G7 ThinQ, the Q7 also makes use of AI for facial and scene recognition through QLens. There’s a portrait mode that lets users click selfies with a depth of field effect.

The LG Q7 is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm’s Fast Charge technology to deliver 60 percent of charge in about 60 minutes. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, and USB Type-C port. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back. It measures 143.8×69.3×8.4mm and weighs 145 grams.
