Last month, LG launched its V60 ThinQ 5G smartphone. And now, the company seems to be preparing to launch its next upper-mid range smartphone soon. In the past few weeks, we have heard and even seen a render from popular leakster @ONLeaks about LG G9. However, recent reports had revealed that LG has reportedly killed its high-end G9-lineup of smartphones and would instead come up with a mid-range device with the same name.
And now, a recent report from Naver – a Korean tech blog reveals that the company is preparing to launch a mid-range device that could be known as the LG G9 ThinQ 5G is being readied for launch later this month. To be precise, the report claims that the company will launch this G9 ThinQ smartphone on May 15.
Well, we still don’t have confirmation whether the company will launch its next smartphone with LG G9 ThinQ name. If we translate the text from the Korean blog, it marks this smartphone as an LG Chocolate phone. Well, this name is quite a bit old, however, it seems like the company wants to revive this name with this smartphone.
As for the specifications, this upper-mid-range smartphone from LG is expected to come with a 6.7-inch to 6.9-inch display. Under the hood, this phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC which is a 5G chipset.
Apart from this, some reports claim that this phone will be equipped with a quad-rear camera setup with the primary camera using a 48MP sensor. Furthermore, this phone is expected to be fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery. It is also likely to arrive with support for a dual-screen accessory.
As for the credibility of this leak, just like most of the leaks, there is no guarantee that this leak will turn out to be real. So, it is advised you to take these leaks as a grain of salt. As for the price, some reports claim that the price of this upcoming phone from LG will vary from $688 to $810. However, there is no confirmation from the company itself. So, we advise you to wait a bit more to get details over it.
