Lenovo which launches its gaming phone every year is still on hold to launch its upcoming gaming-centric phone in 2020. If we consider some recent reports, the company is expected to launch its upcoming gaming phone in the name of Lenovo Legion. This will be the first gaming smartphone from the company to be launched this year.
The Lenovo Legion smartphone is expected to be powered by the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. And now, the company itself shares one of the major specs of the upcoming phone. Today, Lenovo shared a poster revealing that Lenovo Legion will support 90W fast charging, making it the world’s fastest charging smartphone.
As of now, Oppo’s 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 is the world’s fastest wired charging technology. However, with the launch of Lenovo Legion, it will leave Oppo behind in the race. Xiaomi and Vivo have been respectively testing 100W and 120W fast charging technologies, but they are still not available for general users. Well, the most striking thing is that Lenovo Legion will support 90W wireless and reverse charging instead of wired charging.
The 90W charging tech from Lenovo will raise the competition bar higher when it comes to charging a phone in lesser time. OPPO’s SuperVOOC 2.0 can charge a 4,000mAh battery in around half an hour. The 90W charging tech is expected to charge the same-sized battery at a faster rate.
As of now, no further details have been shared by the company. Rumors have claimed that it could be backed by a 5,050mAh battery. Other specs of the phone are still behind the bars. However, we can expect to hear more about the phone in the coming weeks.
