Nowadays, Web Browsers are receiving regular updates to make your web surfing secured and protected against online threats and attacks. Microsoft has recently updated its Microsoft Edge Browser with a set of new security features that prevent websites from tracking your personal data.
The same kind of feature was added by Mozilla Firefox to their Web browser a few days ago. And now, Microsoft has also added the same feature to offer more security while surfing web browsers.
Microsoft’s Edge Browser is the company’new Chromium-based browser which is getting more and more popular day by day. This new feature is under its testing phase and is released with its Canary build for beta testers. If you are a beta user of the Chromium browser, then you will get this updated edition and features to your Microsoft Edge Web Browser app.
The giant has added a set of new Protection Tools to the browser with its new update version 126.96.36.199. According to the Canary Build, this update tests a new feature which has added three Protection options to its users.
Each of these security levels for preventing websites tracking your information is for different types of users starting from basic, balanced to strict. The final option, i.e. Strict offers full protection against the websites which are tracking your information without your permission. They will be blocked itself and your information will be safe.
This acts like an advanced anti-virus tool that most of the PC users are using on their systems. This feature will act with known malicious files through setting cookies, running scripts or storing identifying data on users’ PC.
This is a security feature and it has some drawbacks. It might break your browser and you may have to deal with interruptions while surfing your favorite websites or working on your system through this browser. For that reason, Microsoft will keep this new protection feature disabled by default. Users will be able to enable it as per their requirements whenever they want.
In order to activate this new Protection feature, you just need to follow this path on your Microsoft Edge browser.

Go to: Settings>> Privacy>> Select Protection Option
