JioPhone 2 Launched With QWERTY Keypad and Dual SIM support: Price, Specifications and More


Reliance Jio has today launched its latest feature phone – The JioPhone 2 at its 41st annual general meeting (AGM) in Mumbai. The main highlights of the JioPhone 2 include a full QWERTY keypad, dual-SIM support, and Support for popular applications like Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube.

The JioPhone 2 also comes with a voice assistant, which can be used for making calls, browsing the internet, listening to music and more. It also supports the Hindi language for giving the voice command.

JioPhone 2 Price and Availability

The JioPhone 2 comes with the price tag of Rs. 2,999 and will be available to purchase starting August 15 across the country. Under the Monsoon Hungama offer, customers can exchange their current device for the JioPhone 2 for just for Rs. 501. This offer will start from July 21 onwards.

JioPhone 2 Specifications

In terms of specifications, the JioPhone 2 runs on KAI operating system and sports a 2.4” QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) display. The phone is powered by an unspecified 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It offers 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

For photography, the JioPhone 2 comes with a 2MP rear-facing camera and a 0.3MP front camera. The JioPhone 2 is fuelled by a 2000mAh battery that is rated to give up to 12 hours of talk time and standby time of 15 days. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and micro-USB 2.0 port.
