JioFiber Trial Cities and Offers Revealed


It seems like Reliance Jio is once again all set to shake the internet data space by upcoming JioFiber home broadband service, The Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) service was mentioned by Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani when the Jio operations were officially launched in September last year, now Jio has been expanding its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) business offering with beta trials initiated in five locations –Delhi, Mumbai, Jamnagar, Pune and Chennai.

Though there’s still no confirmation of launch date for JioFiber, but in above mentioned cities the service is being offered to consumers in the same way Jio made their 4G services available. Reliance Jio is reportedly currently testing its Fiber broadband by providing access to select customers and company employees. Several users who have had early access to the JioFiber Preview Offer have tweeted about the service on tweeter.

JioFIber will reportedly roll out with an opening scheme called the JioFiber Preview Offer, which will give customers a free 90-day trial of the service at no cost. As part of the scheme, customers will get a 100GB download limit each month, on a 100Mbps connection. Post that threshold, the connection speed will reduce to 1Mbps, but will not cut off your connection. While the service is said to be free for the first 90 days, users will have to pay a one-time, refundable sum of Rs. 4,000-4,500 for the JioFiber router.

Although here is no official announcement on the launch date and the pricing of Reliance Jio home broadband service, but we can expect another wave of high-speed Internet access, free for the first few months at least.
