iphone: Your iPhone pictures can win you a bar of gold, here’s how

The iPhone camera’s prowess is rather well-known. Among smartphones, the iPhone cameras have always been considered one of the better ones. Like every year, the iPhone Photography Awards (IPPA) are here and are calling for submission for the best pictures clicked from an iPhone.
Now in their 15th edition, the IPPA is held to recognise and award the best images shot on an iPhone. Here are all the details:
Who can enter the competition?
The IPPA clearly states that entries are open worldwide to photographers using an iPhone or iPad. However, the photos should not be published previously anywhere but posts on personal accounts (Facebook, Instagram etc.) are eligible. The photos should not be altered in any desktop image processing program such as Photoshop. It is OK to use any IOS apps.
Can you use other apps, lenses?
Yes, you can. The use of any iPhone/iPad App is permissible. iPhone add-on lenses can also be used. The IPPA in some cases may ask the original image to verify that it’s taken with an iPhone, iPad or iPod.
What do the winners get
The first place winner of the 18 categories will win a gold bar from the “most recognisable private gold mint in the world”. The 2nd and 3rd place winners of the 18 categories will win a platinum bar. Apart from this, a grand prize winner will receive an iPad Air and the top 3 winners will each receive an Apple Watch Series 3.
What’s the entry fee, last date and other details
The last date for submission is March 31, 2022. Those who want to enter the competition will have to pay entry fees of $5.50 for a single image. You can get discounts as well for multiple images and there’s no limit on how many images you can submit.
There are discounts for multiple images and no limit on how many photos one can submit. There are a total of 18 categories under which you can submit your photographs and these include Abstract, Animals, Architecture, Children, Cityscape, Landscape, Lifestyle, Nature, People, Portrait, Series (3 images), Still Life, Sunset, Travel, and Other. Do keep in mind that this isn’t an “official” Apple photography awards but rather conducted by an independent body.
