Apple took the wraps off its much-awaited iPhone 12 line up and introduced four new iPhones — iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. The two new non-Pro iPhones will be the ‘affordable’ iPhones of the year whereas the other two will be the ‘Pro’ iPhones of the year. All four new iPhones will support 5G.
iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max details
The iPhone 12 Pro features a 6.1-inch OLED display and iPhone 12 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch display. Both phones are powered by the A14 bionic processor.
Apple iPhone 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max feature a triple camera setup at the back. iPhone 12 Pro features a LiDAR Scanner on the back that enables object and room scanning, AR features, and more. The LiDAR Scanner also contributes to low-light auto focus and improving capture time.
iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB models in Graphite, Silver, Gold, and Pacific Blue colour options starting at Rs 119,900 and Rs 129,900. iPhone 12 Pro will be available in India starting October 30.
iPhone 12 Pro features the new seven-element lens Wide camera with an ƒ/1.6 aperture, the Ultra Wide camera with a 120-degree field of view, and a 52 mm focal length Telephoto camera, great for framing portraits, bringing the optical zoom range to 4x.

The iPhone 12 features a 6.1-inch OLEd display and comes in five colour variants — Black, White, Red, Green and Blue. The iPhone 12 is powered by A14 Bionic processor and uses a 5 nanometer process. Apple claims that the new six-core CPU is up to 50% faster than any other smartphone. The iPhone 12 also includes a new 4-core GPU, which is up to 50% faster than the competition.
The iPhone 12 mini, on the other hand, is the smallest iPhone from Apple. It has the same features as the iPhone 12 except the size.
iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB models in Blue, Green, Black, White, and PRODUCT(RED) colours, starting at Rs 79,900 and Rs 69,900. iPhone 12 will be available in India starting October 30.
While on paper, the camera specs remain same as iPhone 11, Apple has tweaked it significantly. There’s wider aperture on the 12MP wide camera. Apple says that its using a new seven-element lens which will improve low light performance by 27%. The Night mode will also be available on all the three cameras on the iPhone.
For the first time, Apple has announced that the iPhones will not come with wired earphones or the charging brick.
