‘iPhone 12’ Leak Shows Smaller TrueDepth Notch

For the past few weeks, we have been hearing about the small notch at the upcoming iPhone 12. And now, a new leaked CAD drawing shows the rumored small notch at iPhone with all the sensors on it.

This new leaked image has been posted on Twitter by Jon Posser who recently claimed that Apple will be launching the new AirPods alongside refreshed MacBook Pro next month. The CAD drawing shows a smaller notch on iPhone 12 with all the previous sensors onboard which iPhone 11 has. The diagram also shows thin bezels surrounding the display.

The reportedly new arrangement shows iPhone’s speaker positioned directly above stacked ambient light and proximity sensors, which themselves have been moved inward to take a more central location in the array. TrueDepth’s transmitting and receiving element packages have been shifted toward the center.

A potential reduction in iPhone notch size was first reported by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. In July 2019, he predicted that Apple will bring a small notch with iPhone 12 with smaller front cameras to give more screen space to users. And now, these CAD drawings are showing a similar concept.

As for the credibility, Jon Posser has a good tracker record as a tipster for Apple products. His recent leak with iPhone SE 2020 came out to be real. And so, looking at his track record, we can assume that this leak might turn out to real.
