Apple has released iOS 14.2.1 software update for iPhone 12 family devices. The update brings bug fixes, especially for the iPhone 12 mini. Many users of iPhone 12 mini reported sensitivity issues with the lock screen on the device. They were having difficulties swiping up from the bottom of the screen to unlock the phone. With the iOS 14.2.1, Apple seems to have brought a fix for the issue.
Other changelog with the update includes fix for MMS messages not being received and sound quality issue on made for iPhone hearing devices.
The iOS 14.2.1 is rolling to the users of all four new iPhone models — iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Mini.
Earlier this month, Apple rolled out iOS 14.2 update for all supported iPhones including the new iPhone 12 series. The update comes with support for more than 100 new emojis including animals, food, faces, household objects and others. It also brings eight new wallpapers compatible with mode light and dark modes of the iPhones.
The update claims to offer an optimized battery charging, especially for the Apple AirPods to slow the rate of battery ageing by reducing the time the AirPods spend fully charged. It also fixed the issue of the camera viewfinder appearing black when launched, keyboard on the Lock Screen missing touches when trying to enter the passcode, minor issues with Photos and Weather app and more.
