Intex Aqua Lions 3 with 4G VoLTE and 4000mAh Battery Launched at Rs 6,499


On Thursday, Domestic smartphone maker Intex Technologies has unveiled another budget smartphone in its Aqua series, the Aqua Lions 3; at the price tag of Rs. 6,449. The Intex Aqua Lions 3 will be available via offline channels in Champagne and Black colour options.

The main highlight of the smartphone 4G VoLTE support and SwiftKey integration, it comes loaded with Swiftkey keyboard, which supports 22 major Indian languages, Hinglish and over 180 international languages. In all these languages SwiftKey uses Artificial Intelligence to automatically learn your writing style and suggest auto-corrections and word predictions that make sense.

Coming on specifications, the Intex Aqua Lion 3 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and sports 5” HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS OnCell display covered with 2.5D DragonTrail glass. The smartphone is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor and offerse 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

On the camera front, the Intex Aqua Lion 3 comes with 8MP rare camera with auto focus and LED flash. On the front end there is another 8MP camera which also comes with auto focus and LED flash for better low light pictures. Connectivity options of the smartphone include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and micro USB port and OTG support.

The Intex Aqua Lion 3 also comes with pre-loaded with services like QR Code scanner that decodes the QR code automatically and shows the relevant information. Then there is a Xender app that helps to transfer contacts, photos, SMS, files etc from their old phone to Lions 3. For music streaming and video streaming it is having Gaana and Amazon Prime Video pre-loaded.

The handset packs a 4000mAh battery, and measures 139.6 x 68.8 x 9.4 mm and weighs 162 grams.

At this price point, the Intex Aqua Lions 3 competes against the Xiaomi Redmi 4A, which is priced at Rs 5,999 with the advantage of 13MP rear camera, and the Lenovo K6 Power, which is priced slightly higher at Rs 9,999 but offers a full HD display and more storage. Other competitors in the same category include the Moto E3 Power and the Samsung Galaxy J1 4G.
