Intex Aqua Lions 2 Budget-Centric Smartphone with 4G VoLTE Support Launched


Indian smartphone manufacturer, Intex on Friday has launched a new budget-centric smartphone, the Aqua Lions 2, in India. The smartphone priced at Rs. 4,599 and available via offline channels across the country in Champagne and Gold colour options.

The main highlight of the Intex Aqua Lions 2 is 4G VoLTE support at budget price tag. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and sports a 5” (480×854 pixels) FWVGA display. The smartphone is powered by 1.3GHz Quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 processor coupled with Mali 400 GPU. It offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.

The Intex Aqua Lions 2 comes with a 5MP rare camera with auto-focus and LED flash. On the front there is another 5MP camera for taking selfies and making video calls. The smartphone is fueled by a 2400mAh battery. Connectivity options include dul-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack and micro USB port. Sensors on board include Gyroscope, Accelerometer, and Compass among others. It measures 143.8 mm × 72 mm × 9.8 mm and weighs 158.3 grams.

The smartphone comes loaded with different apps including Tap n Buy for shopping, Xender for transferring contacts, photos, SMS, files and more; and Amazon Prime Videos for streaming and downloading popular movies and TV shows. Further, the phone is equipped with a DataBack app, which it claims to provide up to 500MB of free data to the users per month.
