Instagram Pushes “Pause All” option to turn off notifications

Facebook-owned Photo-messaging app Instagram will be rolling out an option called “Pause All” to mute notifications for a desired period of time up to 8 hours similar to Whatsapp’s Mute feature. By rolling out this button, Instagram is giving users more control over push notifications.

The “Pause All” button is currently available on the Instagram Beta app for Android and iOS platforms. And so, the users who want to try out the upcoming feature may switch to the beta Instagram app. As for the availability of this feature on the original app, there is no word from Instagram about the coming of this feature for all users.

Users who have already switched to the beta version and want to try this feature should move to the Setting menu under which they can find the option “Pause All” in the Notification tab. Similar to Whatsapp’s Mute Notification features, users can mute the push notifications for 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours and 8 hours. However, you can mute the push notification for a period of one year which you can find in the Whatsapp.

It’s good to have this feature on Instagram as it will help the users to manage their notifications and set a priority from whom one may want notifications or not. As Instagram’s Pause all feature let its users to choose manually from which person, page, post, or follower they want to mute notifications. And so, it’s totally in control of the user itself and that’s a good feature of course.
