Instagram is Beta Testing App Versions that Offer DM Filters and Follower Stats

Instagram is presently conducting tests for a brand new layout for highly rated Instagram users, such as high-profile celebs, social media influencers, and upcoming artists. These accounts will provide the users additional control over their profiles. Dubbed as “Creator Accounts,” these accounts will allow users to set up Direct Message filters and receive and analyze the statistics regarding their followers. As of now, a tiny bunch of users have gained this special privileged access to Creator Accounts. These accounts are slated to be released for a wider audience in the coming year of 2019.

Creator Accounts consist of flexible labels that the exclusive users can use to choose how they wish to be contacted. The accounts will also offer statistics showing the posts, Instagram TV updates or stories that caused a hike or a drop in the interest of the followers resulting in an increase of decrease in the follower count. This statistic will give an insight into the kind of social media content that keeps followers engaged and thus will help them formulate an effective content strategy. Those who have Creator Accounts will also be able to label their messages and divide them into read, unread, and flagged folders. This categorization will help them in organizing and prioritizing pending message requests in a more efficient manner.

The product manager of the Facebook-owned social media giant, Ashley Yuki, gave a statement that they strive to ensure that Instagram remains the best, most convenient, and simple platform for building fan communities along with the provisions to set up and establish a brand. Yuki added that the new features are at present incorporated in Creator Accounts. She also hinted that more Instagram features may possibly be rolled out in the future.
