Renowned franchise creator, J. Michael Straczynski, recently took to Twitter to share some preview images from the highly anticipated animated film, Babylon 5: The Road Home.
Even after expressing his desire to explore the “Star Trek” universe, J. Michael Straczynski has returned to share more exciting details regarding the upcoming animated film, Babylon 5: The Road Home. Keeping his promise, which he made last month, Straczynski shared a look at the film’s logo as well as three additional images from the movie.
Straczynski said in a tweet that Warner Bros. had given him the permission to post the images online, which he showed during the Phoenix Fan Fusion convention where he spoke about the film’s visual elements.
What We Know About Babylon 5: The Road Home
Continuing the storyline from the original series that aired in the 1990s, Babylon 5: The Road Home follows John Sheridan as he embarks on an unexpected journey through multiple timelines and alternate realities in a quest to find his way back home. Along the way, he reunites with some familiar faces and discovers cosmic revelations about the history, purpose, and meaning of the Universe.
The all-star cast of the original series returns, including Bruce Boxleitner as John Sheridan, Claudia Christian as Susan Ivanova, Peter Jurasik as Londo Mollari, Bill Mumy as Lennier, Tracy Scoggins as Elizabeth Lochley, and Patricia Tallman as Lyta Alexander. Other voice cast members who contribute to the animated feature are Paul Guyet as Zathras and Jeffery Sinclair, Anthony Hansen as Michael Garibaldi, Mara Junot as Reporter and Computer Voice, Phil LaMarr as Dr. Stephen Franklin, Piotr Michael as David Sheridan, Andrew Morgado as G’Kar, and Rebecca Riedy as Delenn. J. Michael Straczynski penned the film and is serving as executive producer, with Matt Peters directing. Rick Morales is supervising producer, and Sam Register is serving as executive producer on the project for Warner Bros. Animation & Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.
