Huawei Y9 2019 Launched with Kirin 710 and Quad Cameras

Huawei has launched the latest version of its Y9 smartphone dubbed as Huawei Y9 2019, in China. The smartphone comes with upgraded specs along with a new design approach to its predecessor. It sports a 19:9 notch display and 3D curved glass body with curved edges on the rear.

The Huawei Y9 2019 will be available to purchase starting mid-October. It will be made available in Midnight Black, Blue Swarovski and Aurora Purple colour options. However, the company didn’t reveal the pricing of the smartphone as of yet.

Huawei Y9 2019 Specifications

The Huawei Y9 2019 runs on EMUI 8.2 based on  Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It sports a 6.5” Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) 19:5:9 display with 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz  Kirin 710 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. It offers 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, the internal storage can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Huawei Y9 2019 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 16MP primary sensor and 2MP secondary sensor to capture depth information in portrait shots along with LED flash support for better lowlight capturing. On the front, it has another dual camera setup with a combination of a 13MP primary sensor and 2MP secondary sensor to capture depth information in portrait selfies. Both the front and rear cameras are also mentioned to come equipped with AI features.

The Huawei Y9 2019 is fuelled by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back. The smartphone measures 162.4×77.1×8.05mm and weighs 173 grams.
