On Wednesday, Huawei added another member in its Y series of smartphones and launched Huawie Y6 (2017). The smartphone will be available in White, Gold, and Gray colours but the pricing and availability is not yet announced by the company. Huawei also launched Y3 (2017) and Y7 smartphones earlier this month.
The new Huawei Y6 (2017) is a Dual-SIM phone and uns EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, The phone comes with a 5” HD (720×1280 pixels) display and powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor. Y6(2017) offers 2GB of RAM
Coupled with 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
In terms of optics, the Huawei Y6 (2017) comes with a 13MP rare camera along with a dual LED flash. On the front end there is a 5MP front facing camera which also offers LED flash for taking better selfies and making video chat. Connectivity options of the smartphone include 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. Sensors on the smartphone include accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, and ambient light sensor. The phone is also offers a customizable button on the left side of the phone, which can do many operations like, you can press once, twice or hold to launch your favorite apps quickly. You can set the button to launch the camera app, social networking apps or flashlight as per your need. That’s a very handy feature to have on an entry level smartphone from Huawei.
The Y6 (2017) Houses a 3000mAh non removable battery with Energy saving technology will help you to get a day and a half battery life on a normal usage, the phone measures 143.8×72.0x8.5mm and weighs around 150 grams.
