Alongside the Huawei Mate 30 series smartphones, the Chinese smartphone maker, Huawei has also introduced its latest smartwatch – the Watch GT2 and its first-ever smart TV – Huawei Vision. The Huawei Watch GT2 is one of the most advanced smartwatches by the company that comes with an excellent set of hardware and battery life. While at the other end, the Huawei Vision is the company’s first smart TV that runs on the HarmonyOS. Let’s take a look at each of them one-by-one.

Huawei Watch GT2

The Huawei Watch GT2 comes with a round watch face with slimmer bezels compared to last year’s model. It sports a 1.39-inch always-on OLED display with two different sizes to choose from – 42mm and 46mm sizes.

Under the hood, the smartwatch is powered by Kirin A1 chipset that reduces the power consumption of the watch and also improves its Bluetooth connectivity. Huawei claims that the Watch GT2 can hold the Bluetooth connection up to 150 meters away from your phone.

The 42mm version comes with 16MB RAM and 4GB storage while the 46mm bumps up the RAM to 32MB with the same 4GB storage. Huawei Watch GT2 runs on the latest version of Huawei’s Lite OS. Even though, it supports both Android and iOS phones.

As far as fitness tracking, the watch supports up to 15 workout modes and can now track your heart rate underwater. Also, there is also a revamped sleep tracking functionality thanks to Huawei TruSleep 2.0.

Besides, the Watch GT2 packs Bluetooth 5.1, a heart rate sensor, GPS as well as a gyroscope. The larger 46mm version also comes with a microphone and speaker. As far as the battery of the watch is concerned, the 42mm version comes with a 215 mAh battery, while the 46mm variant packs a 455 mAh cell. Huawei claims that new Watch GT 2 can last 14 days with typical use and 30 hours in GPS mode.

Huawei Vision 4K Smart TV

Huawei Vision 4K Smart TV

The all-new Huawei Vision 4K smart TV is the company’s first smart TV. Just like Honor Vision and Vision Pro TVs that were announced back in August, Huawei’s self-branded TV runs the company’s brand-new Harmony OS software.

Huawei announced the 65-inch and 75-inch model to launch at the first. Later on, the company will also bring the 55-inch and 85-inch models. The Huawei TV features quantum dot color, thin metal bezels, and a pop-up camera for video conferencing that lowers into the television when not in use.

Huawei is claiming this smart TV as the most advanced TV with excellent AI capabilities. The TV supports voice commands and includes facial recognition and tracking capabilities. Apparently, there’s some AI mode that helps protect the eyes of young viewers by filtering blue light. The Vision also allows “one-hop projection” from a Huawei smartphone.

One of the biggest highlights of the Huawei Vision TV is its pop-up camera, just like you see on smartphones. Also, it comes with a Smart Remote that has a touchpad and charges over USB-C.

Huawei CEO Richard Yu stated that “it’s more like a large screen smartphone and a smart speaker” than a TV, when he announced it at the Huawei Mate 30 launch event.
