Huawei P30 Lite, Huawei P30 Pro with SuperSensing 40MP Camera, Kirin 980 SoC Launched in India: Price, Specifications

After the global launch of Huawei P30 and P30 Pro last month, both of these flagship phones made its way to India. Huawei has launched its latest flagship phones P30 Lite and P30 Pro at an event in India today. Out of both of these phones, Huawei P30 Pro is the premium model with quad SuperSensing cameras and is powered by the Kirin 980 SoC. At the other end, Huawei P30 Lite features a triple rear camera and is configured with a mid-range chipset. Let’s get brief details of both of these Huawei’s flagship phones.

Huawei P30 Lite: Specifications

Huawei P30 Lite features a huge 6.1-inch FHD+ (2560×1440 pixels) OLED display at the top with waterdrop style notch at the front. To give it a premium look, Huawei P30 Lite comes with slim bezels even narrower than the iPhone XR. In addition, Huawei P30 Lite comes with IP57 rated splash resistant certificate.

It is powered by octa-core (2.6 GHz, Dual core, Cortex A73 + 1.92 GHz, Dual core, Cortex A76 + 1.8 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53) processor paired with Mali-G76 MP10 GPU having Kirin 980 SoC which is based on the 7nm fabrication process. It comes with 6GB of RAM which is coupled with up to 256GB of inbuilt storage.

As mentioned above, Huawei has mainly focused on the camera department of these phones. Huawei P30 Lite comes with a SuperSensing 40MP Leica Triple rear camera setup which includes a 40MP wide angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and at last an 8MP 3X telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. While at the front, it houses a 32MP selfie shooter which sits inside the notch.

Huawei P30

Huawei’s 40MP camera is the world’s first to use RYYB (red, yellow, yellow, blue) sensor (instead of the standard of RYGB) which company claims that it will allow 40% more light absorption which results in better low-light photography. The company also claims that the P30 Lite will deliver the best in class zooming performance with 3x optical zoom and 5x hybrid zoom and 10x digital zoom. One major key point of the camera packed in Huawei P30 is its light sensitivity which is the second highest in the industry with ISO 204,800.

Apart from this, Huawei P30 Lite comes with good connectivity options including dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band A-GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor along with face unlock. As for the battery, Huawei P30  Lite is fuelled by 3,650mAh battery which comes with 22.5W fast charging support and additionally 15W wireless charging.

Huawei P30 Pro: Specifications

Huawei P30 Pro is the most premium smartphone by Huawei. This phone sports a 6.47-inch FHD+ (2560×1440 pixels) OLED flat display at the top with waterdrop style notch at the front. It features narrow bezels giving it a premium look. The Huawei P30 Pro is IP68-certified certified for dust and water resistance.

Similar to P30, the Pro variant is also powered by octa-core (2.6 GHz, Dual core, Cortex A73 + 1.92 GHz, Dual core, Cortex A76 + 1.8 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53) processor paired with Mali-G76 MP10 GPU having Kirin 980 SoC which is based on the 7nm fabrication process. Huawei has paired this phone with 8GB of RAM and storage options from 128GB to 512GB.

In the camera department, P30 Pro features the world’s best camera module on a phone. Huawei P30 Pro comes with a SuperSensing 40MP Leica Quad rear camera setup which includes a 40MP wide angle lens with f/1.6 aperture, a 20MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP 5X telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture and at last a ToF depth-sensing camera. While at the front, it houses a 32MP selfie shooter which sits inside the notch.

Huawei P30 Pro

This is the first time that Huawei has moved from f/1.8 to f/1.6 aperture in Huawei P30 Pro. This allows the camera to intake 25% more light than the previous P20 Pro phone. Apart from this, The Huawei P30 Pro has the world’s most powerful super zoom lens technology with a 5x optical, 10x hybrid and an incredible 50x digital zoom. The biggest highlight of the camera module of P30 Pro is its light sensitivity which is the world’s highest in the industry with ISO 409,600 which carries enough power to shoot a clearer image in no light condition as demonstrated during the event.

Apart from this, Huawei P30 Pro comes with good connectivity options including dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band A-GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. As for the battery, Huawei P30 is fuelled by a huge 4,200mAh battery which comes with 40W fast charging support and additionally 15W wireless charging.

Huawei P30 Pro and P30 Lite: Price and Availability

As for the price, Huawei P30 Pro will be available to buy at a price tag of  Rs 71,990 for the 8GB + 256GB configuration. As for now, this is the only option which will be available in India. Huawei P30 Pro in India has been sent in Aurora and Breathing Crystal color options.

As for its availability, P30 Pro will be going live on sale via Amazon.in on April 15th exclusively for Prime members and on April 16th for all customers. It will be also going for sale via Croma stores starting from April 19th. Every P30 Pro buyer can get the Huawei Watch GT, worth Rs 15,990, by paying an additional Rs 2,000.

On the other end, P30 Lite has been sent in India at a price tag of Rs 19,990 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option and Rs 22,990 for the 6GB + 128GB version. It will be available in Midnight Black and Peacock Blue color options. Huawei P30 Lite will be going live on sale via Amazon.in on April 25th for Prime members and April 26th for all customers. Jio users will get benefits worth Rs 2,200 on Rs 198 and Rs 299 recharges with both the phones.
