Huawei Nova 3e with World’s First 24MP IMX578 Selfie Shooter Goes Official
Huawei has today launched its latest Nova series smartphone dubbed as Huawei Nova 3e in China. The smartphone comes with the price tag of 1999 Yuan ($315/ Rs. 20,580 approx.) for the 64GB storage variant and 2199 Yuan ($348/Rs. 22,645 approx.) for the 128GB variant. The smartphone will be available for pre-order starting today and goes on sale in China starting from March 27th. It will be made available in Black, Blue, and Rose Gold color options.
Talking about specifications, the Huawei Nova 3E runs on EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oero operating system. It sports a 5.84” Full HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) 19: 9 display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a 2.36GHz Kirin 659 Octa-Core processor coupled with MaliT830-MP2 GPU. It offers 4GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
For photography, the Huawei Nova 3e comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 16MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, it has 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It is said to be the world’s first smartphone to feature the 24MP Sony IMX578 sensor. The new sensor boasts of a 20% increase in resolution, 33% decrease in noise in low light images, and a 26% increase in color reproduction.
The Huawei Nova 3e is fueled by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, and USB Type-C 2.0 port. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back. It measures 48.6×71.2×7.4 mm and weight 145 grams.
