Huawei Nova 2 Lite with Snapdragon 430 SoC and Android Oreo Goes Official


Chinese tech giant Huawei has today launched its midrange Huawei Nova 2 Lite in the Philippines. The smartphone comes with the price tag of PhP 9,990 (Rs 12,500 approx.). It will be available in be available in black and gold with this striking blue color options. The Nova 2 Lite, for now, will be available only in the Philippines, but Huawei might launch it in other markets with different moniker under its sub-brand Honor.

Talking about the specifications, the Huawei Nova 2 Lite runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with EMUI 8.0 on top. It sports a 5.99” FullView HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) 18:9 display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 450 Octa-Core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU for better gaming performance. It offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Huawei Nova 2 Lite comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor with LED flash support. On the front, it has an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. The front camera packs facial recognition feature as well.  Both the front and the rear cameras support portrait mode.

The Honor 7C is fueled by a 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back. The handset measures 158.3 x 76.7 x 7.8 mm and weighs around 164 grams.
