Huawei has launched its new tablet – Huawei MatePad Pro as a rivalry to the new iPad Pro 2020. The company has launched this tablet at an event today in Barcelona where the company launched its latest foldable flagship phone Huawei Mate Xs.
We’d already heard about the Huawei MatePad Pro from its Chinese announcement in November 2019, but this global launch (which was scheduled to be placed at MWC 2020) shows the company plans to release the tablet worldwide – or at least in certain non-Chinese countries. Let’s take a closer look at the Huawei MatePad 2020 to get an in-depth spec of the tablet.
Huawei MatePad Pro Specifications
The all-new Huawei MatePad Pro features a 10.8-inch LCD screen, which is the same tech Apple uses in its iPads. It has a punch hole selfie camera at the front.
Under the hood, the MatePad Pro is powered by the latest top-of-the-line Kirin 990 SoC which is coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Additionally, it comes with up to 512GB of inbuilt storage for storage and media.
In the camera department, it sports a single 13-megapixel shooter which is accompanied by an LED flashlight. At the front, there is a single 8-megapixel selfie shooter that sits inside the notch at the front.
Apart from this, Huawei MatePad Pro runs on the latest version of open-source Android with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). The tablet is fuelled by a 7,250mAh battery. Huawei says the MatePad Pro is the first tablet to support wireless reverse charging. When you’re charging the device, it can charge at speeds of up to 27W, and it can then reverse-charge devices at up to 7.5W.
Huawei tablet comes with some very attractive and unique features. If you have a Huawei phone, you can use the two together and operate your smartphone on your tablet and drag and drop content across the two devices.
