Huawei has bolstered its product line-up with the Mate 40 Series flagship smartphones–the Mate 40 Pro and the Mate 40 Pro+. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+ handsets incorporate a 5 nanometer 5G SoC, Ultra Vision Cine Camera system and the Space Ring Design. The pricing and availability of the Huawei Mate 40 series will be announced at a later stage.
The phones feature the Huawei 88° Horizon Display and offer IP 68 dust and water resistance. They come with a 90Hz display that works together with 240Hz touch sampling rate. The phones come powered by the 5nm Kirin 9000 Series 5G SoC. As per Huawei, the CPU features a three-level power efficiency architecture with cores running at clock frequencies of up to 3.13GHz. Also integrated into the SoC is a 24-core Mali-G78 GPU, as well as an NPU featuring two big cores and one tiny core. The phones run EMUI 11.
The camera system on the HUAWEI Mate 40 Series has been co-engineered with Leica and as per the company, upgrades the ultra-wide angle lens, high-definition main camera, the telephoto camera and more. The phones come with Dual Cine Cameras and Dual Ultra Wide Cameras to capture wide angle videos and images from both the front-and rear-facing cameras.
The Huawei Mate 40 Series is also equipped with the battery technology that supports the “fastest” iteration of Huawei SuperCharge.
