Huawei Maimang 6 with Four Cameras and 5.9” Full-HD+ Display Launched


Huawei on Friday has launched a new smartphone, called Maimang 6, in China. The Huawei Maimang 6 has been priced by the company at CNY 2,399 (Rs. 23,600 approx.) and will be made available in Obsidian Black, Streamer Gold and Aurora Blue colour variants. Pre-orders have been started form Friday itself and will start shipping from September 30th.

Huawei Maimang 6 Design and Features

The main highlights of smartphone are, The Huawei Maimang 6 features a uni-body metal design. Huawei Maimang 6 is the company’s first smartphone to feature a 5.9” full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display with 18:9 ratio. Apart form that the smartphone features four cameras, it comes with two front-facing cameras (13MP+2MP) and another two (16MP+2MP) on the back.

Huawei Maimang 6 Specifications

The Huawei Maimang 6 runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and sports a 5.9” full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio with 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by up to 2.36GHz octa-core Kirin 659 SoC coupled with Mali T830 MP2 GPU. It offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

As mentioned above the Huawei Maimang 6 comes with four cameras, There is a 16MP + 2MP dual camera setup with auto-focus on the rear and a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup with fixed focus on the front. Both rare and front cameras come along with the support of LED flash for better low light capturing.

The Huawei Maimang 6 is fueled by a 3340mAh non-removable battery with SuperCharge fast charging technology. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, A-GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device below the dual camera setup. It measures 156.2×75.2×7.5mm, and weighs 164 grams.

As of now, the smartphone will be available exclusively for customers only in China but later on, the Huawei Maimang is expected to to be announced globally as Huawei Mate 10 Lite next month along with the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro on October 16.
