Huawei Introduced HarmonyOS to Rival Android


The Chinese telecom giant, Huawei has officially unveiled the much-awaited mobile Operating System to rival Android. The company has just introduced its brand-new HarmonyOS for the mobile platform.

Huawei has been facing some legal issues in the United States as the US has banned on purchasing Chinese items from the market. The US-China trade is disturbed and it directly affected the sales of Huawei’s smartphone.

Google also has to broke down the partnership between the Huawei due to this issue. As well know that the Huawei smartphones are running on Android Operating System. Since the company’s partnership have broken down, Huawei has to come up with an alternative.

We have heard a lot about Huawei’s new mobile platform but unaware of its name. Today, the giant has taken off the curtains and the new HarmonyOS has been introduced to the Technology market.

The newly introduced HarmonyOS is known as HongmengOS in the Chinese language. There will be two different versions of the OS with different names, one for the Chinese market and the other for the International market.

Huawei has said that the first version of the HarmonyOS will be launched later this year. The OS will be introduced first on the Smart Screen products i.e. Smart Televisions and then it will be released for the Smartphones. The same OS will be made available for the company’s Wearable devices after three years.

Huawei has been facing trading issues with the United States since May month. And since then, the entire market share of the company has fallen down. The company has been working with its new Smart Speaker with Google by using Google’s Voice Assistant. But things have completely changed and Google has to broke down the partnership due to legal issues.

If we talk about the availability of this new OS, then it will be available for Smart Televisions, Tablets, Smartphones, Smart Speakers, Wireless Earbuds, Smartwatches, PCs, VR Glasses. During the press conference, the company has also said that they will bring the same OS in the Cars in the future.
