From past couple of days Huawei is busy in launching bunch of new smartphones around the globe, now Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has announced that it would be launching the Honor 9 smartphone in India this Thursday, October 5th, according to the company’s “Honor Smartphone” Twitter account. Notably, it not an official announcement, the information was accidentally leaked when multiple Twitter users asked when the phone would be launched in India, and Honor replied that they would be holding the Honor 9 launch event on October 5th.
To recall, Honor 9 was first launched in China back in June this year, now company is all set to launch the smartphone in India. The Honor 9 comes in gold, black, blue and gray color options, the smartphone priced at 2,299 Yuan in china for the 4GB RAM 64GB storage model and is reportedly going to cost around Rs. 22,000 for the same model in India.
In terms of specifications, the Huawei Honor 9 runs on 7.0 Nougat operating system with EMUI 5.1 skin on top and sports a 5.15” FullHD (1920×1080 pixels) display. The smartphone is powered by up to 2.4GHz octa-core Kirin 960 SoC coupled with Mali-G71 GPU. It offers 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB storage respectively which is further expandable.
For photography, the Huawei Honor 9 comes with dual camera setup, which includes a 12MP and 20MP sensor along with LED flash support for better low light capturing. On the front, there is an 8MP camera with a f/2.0 aperture.
The smartphone is fueled by a 3,220mAh battery with fast charging capability. The device comes with all standard connectivity options. It measures 147.3 x 70.9 x 7.45mm and weighs 155 grams.
