Huawei Files a New Design Patent For Smartphone Showing Different Camera Module Design

Chinese smartphone maker files a new patent for a smartphone that shows an entirely new concept for the rear camera module. This is really a new but weird rear camera module concept we have ever seen on a smartphone from any company.

This new patent has been spotted by a user on Twitter @_the_tech_guy who shared some images of the original patent that shows the patent from almost every possible angles. The patent shows a sizeable bezel-less display with a wide notch at the front that houses the selfie camera. The phone seems to be very slim and premium.

However, the main focus of this patent is its unique rear camera module. It shows a circular camera module with a straight cut at the edge of the phone, giving it a unique look. As of now, we don’t have any idea of how many sensors will it house in the module and their arrangement. But looking at the size of the camera module, we can expect to see four or more sensors in a circular arrangement with a long flashlight at the side.
