With the beginning of 2020, we have already seen many smartphone makers showing their smartphones with an under-display camera mechanism. Well, Huawei has also filed a patent for two new smartphones that have an under-display camera.
The patent was first discovered by a tech enthusiast @_the_tech_guy on Twitter who shared the patent on his Twitter wall. Although both the smartphones appear to be quite similar to the front, they have different rear camera module that makes them different from each other.
As for the front, both the patent shows smartphones with a long curved display that has an under-display camera. At the back, one of the patents shows a smartphone design with a circular camera module having four sensors onboard. On the other hand, the other patent shows a smartphone design with a rectangular camera module that features three sensors.
As for the first patent, there is no clarity on the selection of sensors onboard. However, considering the second patent, it shows a housing for a ToF or periscope sensor at the bottom of the camera module. Apart from this, no further details of the patent are available.
It must be noted that, just like any other patent, there is no guarantee that this patent will turn out to a real device. So, for now, take this as a grain of salt.
