Huawei could have been dealt another hammer blow, this time from Samsung

And in a further blow to the firm it looks like their supply chain for OLED screens could also be impacted by the latest US regulations.

According to a post by SamMobile, the South Korean tech giant will stop providing DRAM and NAND flash chips as well as display panels to Huawei.

The news was initially reported by South Korean publication Chosun Biz, who claimed LG will also stop providing OLED displays to Huawei.

LG has confirmed the news, saying the decision will have little impact on its business as it supplies a limited amount of display panels to Huawei.

But, at the time of writing, Samsung are yet to comment on the reports.

Samsung is the world’s biggest OLED supplier, so having access to this stream of parts cut off will provide a major headache for Huawei.
