Huawei Announced Balong 5000 5G Multi-Mode Chipset, 5G Foldable Smartphone Coming at MWC 2019

Huawei has launched Balong 5000 5G Multi-Mode chipset at an event in China. As 5G is spreading tremendously around the world we can expect some more 5G chipset in future. However, according to some sources, Balong 5000 is considered as the strongest 5G chipset. Also, Huawei is claiming this chipset as World’s first single-chip multi-mode 5G chipset which supports 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G.

Also, Huawei says that Balong is World’s first chipset which is compatible with both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) network architectures for 5G which will enhance the communication capability of the device. Moreover, this chipset is made in such a way that it will have lower power consumption and shorter latency. The Balong 5000 works on all the platforms including Smartphone, home broadband devices, vehicle-mounted devices, and 5G modules.

According to Huawei, this Balong 5000 chipset can achieve 4.6Gbps at Sub-6 GHz (low-frequency bands) which is the main spectrum used for 5G networking, while on the other hand, this chipset can achieve the download speed up to 6.5Gbps on high-frequency band or millimeter band which is remarked as the fastest speed of 5G network.

Apart from that, Huawei has announced that they will be releasing its first foldable 5G Smartphone at MWC 2019 which will be powered by this Balong 5000 5G chipset. More information about this smartphone will be disclosed at MWC 2019 which will be held in this February. However, looking at this high-end 5G chipset by Huawei, we can expect many huge transitions in the technology as soon as we’ll be heading towards 5G technology.
