Huawei 98 Inch Smart TV: Huawei launches its biggest smart TV yet in China, comes with 98-inch Ultra HD 4K display


Huawei Smart Screen V98 — the biggest TV from the Chinese consumer technology brand is official. The launch of the 98-inch smart TV along with the Huawei P50 smartphone series. It is one of the most expensive devices from the company and naturally packs top-notch specifications.

The smart TV from Huawei runs on Harmony OS 2, the company’s own mobile operating system. The 98-inch LCD Ultra HD 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) display comes with 120Hz refresh rate, AiMax Cinema support and DCI-P3 colour gamut. There is a low Blue light eye protection filter with this device that is claimed to make it easier for the eyes.
In the audio department, it offers support for DTS and Dolby dual decoding. It houses two full frequency units with two high frequency units. The sound is enhanced by the Huawei Sound engine.
The Huawei Smart Screen V98 smart TV comes powered by Honghu 818 CPU with Mali 0G51 GPU. This is painted with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM.
The TV houses a 24MP pop-up camera to facilitate video calls. For audio during video calls, it is said to make use of six microphones.
The HarmonyOS on the TV offers customised features including ability to video call while watching a live event, one touch projection, split screen, karaoke and more.
For health and fitness enthusiasts, it also comes with smart AI features such as support for recognising up to three people working out suing the camera, option to link various devices to display health data in real time on TV and lastly recognition while playing interactive games such as Talking Tom Parkour, Doomsday Summoning, Dodging Walls, etc.

The Huawei Smart Screen V98 smart TV has been launched at CNY 29499 (approximately Rs 3,39,000). It is already on pre-sale but will be available via online channels and Huawei experience stores from August 12, 2021.
