HTC U12+ Real Life Images Leaked Just Ahead of the Official Launch
HTC is all set to debut its next flagship smartphone, the HTC U12+ today. Now, just ahead of official launch, real life images of the devices surfaced online. The leaked images reveal all the design aspects of the device. It comes in Titanium Black, Flame Red, and Translucent Blue colour options.
The images suggest that the phone is going to have a candy bar design with glossy curved back and curved edges on the corners. There is a dual camera setup at the back, lined up horizontally, along with a dual-LED flash and a circular fingerprint scanner below the cam setup. On the front, it seems to sports an 18:9 edge-to-edge display with quite thin bezels on either sides. The display does not have curved edges or the top notch like most of the current smartphones in the market. The top bezel houses the dual front camera setup while the USB Type-C port along with the speaker grill sits on the bottom of the device. The volume rocker and the power button is placed on the right edge while the SIM tray is on the left. Notably, there is no 3.5mm audio jack available.
From previous leaks, the HTC U12+ will runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with HTC Sense UI on top of it. It will sports a 6” Quad HD+ (2880 x 1440 pixels) Super LCD 6 display with HDR10, DCI-P3 and sRGB support and protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The smartphone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. It offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.
For photography, the HTC U12+ comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with the combination of a 12MP primary camera with f/1.75 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size, PDAF, Laser auto focus, OIS, and dual LED flash along with a 16MP secondary camera with f/2.6 aperture, 1.0μm pixel size, and 240fps slow motion video recording. On the front, there is another dual camera setup which includes two 8MP sensors with f/2.0 aperture, AR stickers, and Real-time bokeh effects.
The HTC U12+ will be fuelled by a 3500mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging and wireless charging support. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. The smartphone is also an IP68 certified for water and dust resistant and has a fingerprint scanner at the back. Stay tuned with TechnoCodex for more updates.
