HTC U11 EYEs with 6” FHD+ Display Goes Official


HTC on Monday has launched a new budget smartphone in its U11 series dubbed as HTC U11 EYEs. The smartphone comes with the price tag of NT$14,900 ($505/ Rs. 32043 approx) in Taiwan and 3299 yuan ($512/ Rs. 32487 approx) in China. The device is currently available for pre-order in Taiwan and will be made available in Black, Blue, and Red color options.

The HTC U11 EYEs has been leaked a number of times in the past, the phone has now been officially announced and listed on HTC Taiwan’s official website. The HTC U11 EYEs is made out of metal and glass and has a single camera on the back, below the camera module there is a fingerprint scanner and the company’s branding. The HTC U11 EYEs sports really thin bezels and it utilizes on-screen buttons, just like its older siblings.

HTC U11 EYEs Specifications

Talking about specifications, the HTC U11 EYEs runs on an unspecified Android operating system and sports a 6” full_HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) Super LCD 3 display with 402 ppi pixel density and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core processor. It offers 4GB of RAM and 54GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

For photography, the HTC U11 EYEs 2MP UltraPixel 3 camera f/1.7 aperture, UltraSpeed autofocus, and dual-tone LED flash. It can shoot full-HD slow-motion video at 120FPS along with 4K video recording. On the front, there are two 5MP shooters with f/2.2 aperture, BSI sensor, and wide-angle lens. They are capable to shoot various bokeh tricks, as well as “Instant Skin Adjustment” and other beauty-enhancing functions.

The HTC U11 EYEs is fueled by a 3,930mAh non-removable battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi and NFC among others. It measures 157.9 x 74.99 x 8.5mm and weighs 185 grams.
