HTC Desire 19+ and U19e with the brand’s first Triple Rear Camera Launched: Price, Specifications and More


HTC has launched its two new smartphones named as the Desire 19+ and U19e in Taiwan. The new handsets have arrived around half a year after the launch of the previous phone from the brand, the Desire 12s in December. HTC Desire 19+ is the first smartphone from the company to come with a waterdrop notch and triple rear camera setup.

HTC Desire 19+ Specifications

The all-new HTC Desire 19+ sports a 6.2-inch HD+ (1,520×720 pixels) display an aspect ratio of 19:9, which is tallest in the company’s history to date. It features slim bezels on all the sides with a waterdrop notch.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor. It comes in two variants that include a 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB option.

In the camera department, HTC Desire 19+ comes with the company’s first triple-rear camera setup that includes a 13MP primary snapper with an aperture of f/1.8, accompanied by an 8MP 120-degree super-wide-angle lens. The third shooter is a 5MP depth of field sensor. At the front, there is a 6MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture and auto HDR.

Apart from this, HTC Desire 19+ runs on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box. Talking about the battery, it is fuelled by a 3,850mAh battery on board, which is highest in the history of the Desire series. For security, the phone gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face recognition.

HTC U19e Specifications

HTC U19e comes with a 6-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels and a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass. There is a regular display at the front without any notch.

Under the hood, this smartphone is powered by a more powerful octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor which is coupled with 6GB of RAM. In addition, it comes with 128GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a MicroSD card.

In the camera department, the U19e comes with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 12MP primary sensor and a 20MP secondary sensor. The phone has phase detection autofocus, auto HDR, slow-mo mode, 4K video recording, and AR mapping. At the front, there is a 24MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture and full-HD video recording support.

Apart from this, HTC U19e runs on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box. Talking about the battery, it is fuelled by a 3,930mAh battery on board which comes with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging tech. Last but not least, this smartphone also includes HTC BoomSound speakers with Hi-Fi Ultrasound output.

HTC Desire 19+, HTC U19e Price and Availability

The HTC Desire 19+ has been priced at TWD 9,990 (approx Rs 22,000) for the 4GB model, while the 6GB RAM variant is being offered for TWD 10,990 (approx Rs 24,000). As for the U19e, the phone costs TWD 14,900 (approx Rs 33,000). The Desire U19e is available to buy on the brand’s website, while the Desire 19+ will hit the market shelves in early July.
