Twitter has been one of the most popular Social media platforms. To make this platform better and user-friendly, Twitter always makes some improvements in its platform. Recently, Twitter has redesigned the interface for its web version which it claims to be faster and easier to navigate than the previous one. However, there are many people out there who didn’t like this new look and is trying to roll back to the older version.
Looking forward to this increasing demand, A Twitter user and software developer, Zusor, has unveiled a new add-on for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox that will let you use the old Twitter interface for the desktop. It’s called GoodTwitter. Additionally, there is also a complete guide shared by The Verge, but that is only a temporary fix.
Until now, this GoodTwitter extension has been downloaded by thousands of Chrome and Firefox users. The best thing is that the developer claims that this add-on doesn’t read user browsing data. To demonstrate the add-on, the developer has also published the source code on GitHub. One can download this add-on from Chrome Web-Store and Firefox Add-On Manager depending upon the availability of browser.
If you want to temporarily roll back to Old Twitter on the web, you can follow these steps.
Step 1: Open Twitter on the web and click on (…) More in the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Go to Settings and privacy > About Twitter > Directory. A new Twitter tab will open.
Step 3: Click on Home to get back to the Old Twitter.
Remember, the old twitter layout will vanish when you refresh the page.
In this way, you can roll back to the Old Twitter for web either manually or by using the GoodTwitter add-on.
