It’s the time of Christmas, and 2020 is now a week away. A lot of game developers are giving away freebies in the spirit of holidays, and Fortnite is no exception. Epic Games announced the in-game Winterfest event, where players receive free ‘Fortnite Presents’ daily from the new Crackshot’s Cabin. Each present contains cosmetic items, such as pickaxes, bling, gliders, contrails, music packs, wraps, loading screens and many more.
There are two outfits included in the presents – Whooly Mammoth and Lt. Evergreen. However, Lt. Evergreen is hidden in plain sight, and players have found the way to redeem it.

Guide to get the Lt. Evergreen skin
In order to redeem the free Lt. Evergreen skin, follow the steps below.
- From the main menu of the game, move to the snowflake icon above next to the Play tab.
- Click the Visit Lodge option on the right of the screen. The camera will pan into Crackshot’s Cabin.
- Highlight the Christmas tree behind Crackshot’s armchair.
- Click the tree, then hold E (Keyboard) or X (Controller) to interact with it.
And that’s it! You have successfully redeemed the Lt. Evergreen skin for free. The Re-Gifter back bling also comes in the outfit set, which you can equip with other skins too. You can now join a match and celebrate Christmas with other players.
The guide works for all the platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS. If you previously failed to redeem the skin, try now as the problem has been resolved by the developers.
