How To Get 100GB Dropbox Storage For 12 Months On Your Chromebook

Chromebooks have become one of the most popular platforms for students in recent years. No wonder why Google keeps offering exclusive perks to retain its existing user base. In the last few months, Chromebook owners have received three months of Disney+ and Stadia Pro subscription, copies of Stardew Valley, The Elder Scrolls: Legends, Doom I and II games, a year of Google One subscription, etc.
Strangely enough, Google added a new perk on their exclusive perks page for Chromebooks last week, offering 100GB of free Dropbox storage for twelve months. It’s the first time Google has provided third-party cloud storage perks to Chromebook users, considering that they have previously offered 100GB of free Google Drive storage for users to redeem on multiple occasions.
If you are a Chromebook user, then you probably are in need of cloud storage space all the time. Having an extra 100GB storage on Dropbox will save you from the hassle of paying for cloud storage. You can back up your files for the next 12 months for free. You can follow this guide to redeem the Dropbox perk for your Chromebook.

Get 100GB Dropbox Storage Perk on Chromebook

It’s quite easy to redeem your Chromebook perks. The following steps will show you how to get the 100GB Dropbox storage perk:

  1. First, visit google.com/chromebook/perks from the Chrome browser.
  2. Now scroll down and click Get perk under the Dropbox option.
  3. After that, click Continue in the pop-up window. You will be redirected to the Dropbox account login page.
  4. You can now either log in to your existing Dropbox account or create a new one.
  5. Once you successfully log in to your Dropbox account, you will be sent to Dropbox’s promo code site. The code for 100GB Dropbox storage should be pre-filled. Click Submit to redeem the code.

That’s it! You have successfully redeemed the Dropbox perk offering 100GB of cloud storage for a year.

Final Words

It’s worth mentioning that the 100GB of extra Dropbox storage applies to both new and existing Dropbox Basic, Plus, and Professional users. The storage space expires 12 months after you redeem the perk, but the perk itself is valid until 23rd July next year, in case you want to redeem it later.
If you want more storage, then you should also redeem the Google One storage perk, which gives 100GB of additional storage and other Google One benefits for a year. Make sure that you redeem the perk by 31st January next year.
Note that the Dropbox perk’s availability is subject to regional restrictions. The same goes for the other perks as well, so you might have to wait until Google makes the perk available in your market.
