1. Login to Epic account
Go to the login screen for Epic and you need to login from your email address and password to access your account.
2. Find Two-Factor Authentication
After logged into your account, you need to go to the Password & Security option which you will get into the left menu. Now, you need to scroll down to the Two-Factor Authentication section.
3. Verify Your Email
There are two options you will get but first you have to verify your email address. And for this, you have to press the option “Send email verification link”. Go to your email inbox and to check verification link. Open it and click on the Verify Email button. After completing this process, you should see a thank you note from Epic’s website.
4. Pick Authentication Type
You have to come back to the page where you want to select your type of authentication. Select the Authenticator app or email authentication after which the app will allow you to receive the code on the phone or select the email option, then the email option will send the code via email.
5. Email Authentication (Easier Option)
On selection of this option, you will receive a six-digit code on your email from epic. Open your email and copy the code to this code. Now come back to Epic’s website and paste this six-digit code there. This process is now complete. But remember, whenever you log in to your epic account, Epic will send a code to your email each time.
6. Authenticator App
When you select this option, you will receive instructions on how to download a validation app on your phone from Epic, which you have to download such as Google Authenticator, LastPass authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy. Now open the app and scan barcode or QR code. Scan one provided by Epic, then you will receive a six-digit code. Copy this code and submit it to authenticate your account. You can now login. If you log in to Remember account, you will automatically need a code generated from the app each time.
