How to Add a Passcode in any App on iPhone

If you are an iPhone user and want to lock any of your apps from intruders then this article is made for you. Today, I’ll guide you a way to add a passcode to any of your apps on your iPhone to add extra security. Protecting your app with a passcode helps you to secure your important files. This process is a bit tricky and tedious but for sure it will work on any iOS device. So, let’s get started.
So, today we’ll enable the passcode for any apps in your device using App Limits feature which you can easily find in your Settings Menu in your iPhone.
Step 1: So, just head to the Setting and find Screen Time option.
Step 2: After that, enable the Screen Time option and then set the passcode for it.
“Remember this passcode as you need this passcode in future whenever you want to unlock the app to which you have secured.”
Step 3: Tap the Devices button on the upper left and choose your current device which is usually available on the top of the list.
Step 4: Now start selecting the app which you want to lock with the passcode.
Step 5: When you get finished selecting your apps, then tap on “Add Limits” button on the top.
Step 6: In case, you forgot to add an app to the list, then tap on “Edit Apps” button and select the app which you want to add in the list to protect it with a passcode and then again tap on “Add Limits”.
Once you are finished with the above steps, you’ll see a timer running on the top of the screen. Set the timer as per your desire as for how long the lock last, and then tap on Add to finish.
Now, all your apps to which you have enabled the passcode will automatically get locked after your specified time. After that, if you want to continue on that app, then you must enter the passcode which has set earlier. In this way, you can secure your apps for being used for a longer time. However, using this lock on Social Messaging apps works differently as compared to other apps. When you lock your messaging apps using a passcode, you’ll not get other notifications and chat updates. So, locking your messaging apps with a passcode will not be the right choice for you.
