Like most of the Honor Smartphones, Honor View 20 also get a glossy back panel. But this Honor has reflected some creativity in the back panel. At first sight, its back panel looks very simple, but when the light gets reflected on certain angles you’ll see a V-shaped pattern on the back which looks amazing. Honor View 20 comes in three color variants, Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black, and Phantom Blue. However, you’ll get the Midnight Black and Phantom Blue color option in the 8GB/256GB variant.

Honor View 20 has a metal body with a glossy finish. Like most of the smartphones, the power and volume buttons are placed on the right side while the sim tray is placed at the left. You’ll find an IR emitter and ambient light sensor on the top of the body along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. At the bottom, Honor View 20 has a USB Type-C port along with the loudspeaker and the primary microphone.

Now let’s talk about the display which Honor View 20 has. Actually, Honor View 20 comes into the trends due to its display which has a punch-hole front-facing camera. This is the first time that any smartphone has launched in India with a punch-hole camera instead of a notch. It has a 6.4-Inch FHD+ display with a punch-hole camera sitting at the upper left corner. There you also get an option to adjust color depth of the screen according to your desire. However, for some people, this punch hole camera may be the point of distractions as it is placed on the screen. However, it is very small in size so we didn’t have any issue with that.

Specification and Software

The new Honor View 20 is powered by the most powerful processor by Huawei, Kirin 980 SoC which is based on the 7nm manufacturing process which was first launched in Huawei Mate 20 Pro. It is an Octa-Core processor with a Mali-G76 GPU for graphics, and dual NPUs (Neural Processing Units). It is also the first chipset to feature ARM Cortex-A76 Cores. However, most of the functionality of this Magic UI is somehow similar to that of MIUI. Furthermore, the Honor View 20 supports dual sim 4G as well as VoLTE. However, there is no space on the sim tray for an external Micro SD card. Also, the new Honor View 20 has the latest Bluetooth 5 and has dual-band WiFi 802.11ac.

In addition to the 6GB RAM with this processor ensures smooth multitasking without killing any background apps. Because of Magic UI, you can easily switch between the apps without noticing any lag. Furthermore, Honor View 20 comes with a Face Unlock and fingerprint sensor mounted on the rear panel of the phone.  The Fingerprint sensor gives a very fast response. However, you’ll be missing the In-display fingerprint sensor like most of the premium phones has.

Now coming to its Camera, Honor View 20 comes with a huge 48-Megapixels rear camera which captures shots with great depth and details. The shots taken from View 20 has amazing quality. In addition, you can find different modes in the camera as well for quick shots. AI works great in all condition, even in the low light condition it captures great shots. On the other hand, it has 25-megapixels selfie camera which captures an amazing picture with great quality. However, there isn’t any LED flash with the front-facing camera but its screen light up when capturing photos in a dim light situation.

As far its battery backup is concerned, the Honor View 20 comes with a huge 4000mAh battery which is capable to make this phone running for a day. However, the battery lasts for about 12-13 hours once on a full charge. Also, this smartphone comes with a 40W supercharger which is capable enough to charge this phone from 20-50 in 30 minutes. However, it takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes for a full charge from 0-100 percent. So, overall it has a good battery backup with fast charging support.
