Honor 7S Launched in India with HD+ Display and Selfie Flash: Price, Specifications and more

Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor has today launched its latest entry-level smartphone – the Honor 7S, in India. The main highlights of the smartphone include soft LED light selfie flash, an 18:9 HD+ display with 73% screen-to-body ratio, and a dedicated microSD card slot.

Honor 7S Price and Availability

The Honor 7S comes with the price tag of Rs. 6,999 and will be available to purchase exclusively via Flipkart and Honor online store. The first sale will be held on September 14, at 12 pm IST. It will be made available in Black, Blue, and Gold colour options.

Honor 7S Specifications

The Honor 7S runs  EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and sports a 5.45” HD+ (720×1440 pixels) 18:9 FullView TFT display with a pixel density of 295ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT6739 octa-core processor coupled with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU. It offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Honor 7S comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, Panorama, HDR, timer, beauty mode, and LED flash support for better lowlight capturing. On the front, it has a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture, a fixed focus lens and soft light LED flash that can be adjusted in 7 levels. The front camera also equipped with facial recognition technology to unlock the device.

The Honor 7S is fuelled by a 3,020mAh battery, which the company claims can offer up to 10 hours of 4G internet access, 62 hours of music playback, 13 hours of video play and 374 hours of dual SIM standby. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, single-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.2 LE, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB port. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. It measures 146.5×70.9×8.3 mm and weight is 142 grams.
