Honor 10 GT Launched with Massive 8GB RAM: Price, Specifications and More


Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor has today launched a new variant of its Honor 10 smartphone dubbed as Honor 10 GT in China. The main highlight of the smartphone is massive 8GB of RAM and enhanced GPU performance with GPU Turbo (GT) technology that significantly improves the graphics performance of the smartphone.

The company has introduced GPU Turbo technology last month, it is software and hardware optimized graphics acceleration technology that enhances the graphics performance of a smartphone by 60 percent and at the same time, it consumes 30 percent less power.  GPU Turbo technology enabled smartphones can run HD games with full frame rate. The single-thread performance of a GPU Turbo enabled mid-range phone can beat the performance of multi-thread performance of some flagship phones. Huawei is already announced to bring the GPU Turbo technology to a variety of devices via a software update in coming days.

Honor 10 GT Pricing and Availability

As of now, the company has not disclosed the pricing of the Honor 10 GT but it has confirmed that the smartphone will be available to purchase starting from July 24 from Honor’s online store and JD.com. It is unclear whether

In terms of Specifications, Honor 10 GT runs on runs EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It sports a 5.84” full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) LCD 19:9 display with iPhone X-like notch on the top. The smartphone is powered by a 2.4 GHz HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. It offers 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage.

For photography, the Honor 10 GT comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 16MP RGB sensor and a 24MP monochrome sensor with f/1.8 aperture,  2x Zoom, LED flash, depth focus, PDAF and AI scene recognition that accurately identifies people, animals, grass, and sky. On the front, it has a 24MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and AI beautification. It also supports for face unlock

The Honor 10 GT is fueled by a 3400mAh battery with quick charging support that can charge from 0 to 50% in just 25 minutes. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth4.2, LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. There is also an Ultrasonic Under Glass fingerprint sensor on the home button It measures 149.6×71.2×7.7mm and weighs is 153 grams.
